After the Everglades experience, next day & a half spent in hell on earth, otherwise known as Universal Studios (half a day) & then Disney World (whole day & night..for some. Luckily the Black Maria made 3 trips back to the hotel for the faint of heart, 2pm, 6pm & 10pm. Least said, soonest mended, but there were times particularily on the Disney day when I was seriously unhappy. Pat, Jennifer & I had gone in search of a 4d experience in Magic KIngdom & as a strom threatened, the crowds started to line up in the arcade we were in until there was a total gridlock, we were just standing still shuffling, the multitudes were queueing for inside rides to get out of the storm. For dinner after Universal Pat & I went to another chain restaurant BJ's Brewhouse and it really was a notch up on others visited so far. We had lovely meal, Pat - porkchops & mash and I had jambalaya, delicious & surprisingly reasonable, $16 for mine. So my advice to US travellers, look for BJ's, sad news for us though, on the chain coverage map, chain has not spread up into northeast yet, which is where we are headed.
We started on our Disney day in the Epcot Centre which was highly recommended, it's a trip around the worlds some seemed to have shows pertaining to the country, but mostly outside, where it was hot as hades & the humidity, wow. Each country has shops with stuff from that country, via China, yes all their crap is made in China just like ours. In fact I made no purchases as all made in China, what's the point?
Anyway only way to get out of the weather is to eat, which we did, in France, but she let me down, no good at all. Us Pollyannas appreciated the french beer however which was chill & good.
One thing I appreciated about Epcot was the gardens, they were magnificent , this climate must be just perfect, although I did notice best displays were made up of pots, so they can be adiosed quickly
when past their prime.
Disney is a huge complex, many 100s of acres, comprising of 4 theme parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Seaworld & Hollywood, joined by a monorail. Epcot itself is 305 acres, so I can assure that the feet were sore.
It's all a blur, but between Universal & Disney did a Men in Black ride, Pirates of the Caribbean, Captain EO, Michael Jackson, 3d show a couple of others etc
